Márton Szép is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and a medical data scientist at the Department of Orthopaedics, TUM University Hospital. He completed his Master’s degrees in Robotics, Cognition, and Intelligence at TUM and Mechatronics Engineering at the Technical University of Budapest. His Master’s theses focused on incorporating inductive biases in machine learning for physics and building recommender systems using structured text data, respectively. His current research concentrates on medical natural language processing, exploring various aspects, including efficiency, privacy, retrieval-augmented generation, and information extraction.
